Mark G. Tornillo

Mark G. Tornillo
President & CEO

Mr. Tornillo founded Martek in 1996 and continues to oversee all aspects of Martek’s operations, management, financial goals and success of the company. Mr. Tornillo holds real estate brokerage licenses in several states and has over 20 years of experience in real estate and facilities management. Mr. Tornillo is very active in many community and industry organizations and volunteers his time to serve in various capacities.

Alfred Principe
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Principe brings to the organization over forty years of diversified experience in strategic planning, financial management, mergers & acquisitions, management information systems, pricing-estimating & program control, international business, accounting-auditing & contracts administration. Mr. Principe is responsible for all financial management, strategic planning, and program control. He has been an integral part of Martek since the inception and has provided the overall financial support and direction for the company. Prior to joining Martek, Mr. Principe retired as Chief Financial Officer from Atlantic Research Corporation, a $500 million defense contractor.

J.D. Ruit
Vice President of Finance & Administration

Mr. Ruit is responsible for the financial and administrative functions of the company. With ten years of experience in accounting, Mr Ruit provides day to day direction and management of all accounting and administrative policies and procedures to ensure operations have the tools to deliver quality.

John B. Tornillo
Chief Operating Officer/ Business Development

Mr. Tornillo has over 30 years experience in day-to-day management. He is highly skilled at managing people, systems, resources and finances. As Chief Operating Officer Mr. Tornillo directs all aspects of Martek's marketing, business development, sales policies, strategic sales and marketing objectives and initiatives. He also evaluates corporate performance and handles budget management.

Pjeter Vucinaj
Vice President
Director of Medical & Healthcare Services

Mr. Vucinaj oversees Martek’s medical facilities management and medical related contracts, including project management, process improvement/quality assurance programs, human resource management, clinic management, team building, and training in the setup and operations of medical facilities. Mr. Vucinaj is a Navy Retired Veteran with 28 years of service – 26 years working with medical treatment facilities and served as Command Master Chief for Expeditionary Medical Facility/Fleet Hospital Pensacola where he led over 800 personnel. Mr. Vucinaj is a trained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, an active member of the Retired Sergeants Major Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Huntsville Alabama Semper Fi Community Task Force.

Alexander Lofft
Director of Real Estate Services



Mr. Lofft serves as Director of Real Estate Services managing the brokerage division which serves Martek’s clients nationally and covers all facility types ranging from microwave tower networks, data centers and earth stations in telecom, surgery centers in medical, BL-3 R&D suites in biotech, SCIF installations in security, and a variety of other office and industrial facilities. Mr. Lofft is a licensed broker in several states, has completed over $200 million in transactions nationwide, and manages a commercial property investment group with $4.5 million in assets. Mr. Lofft earned an MBA at Georgetown University focused in operations and finance and previously served at the US Department of Commerce on Russian energy development.

Duane Grove
Lockheed Martin Corporation

Mr. Grove has 25 years experience in definition, development, operation, and management of Defense tactical intelligence systems and solutions which included 10 years experience in Project Management and 10 years of leadership business management and development, including financial management. Mr. Grove has a strong passion for strategic development and team leadership skills. Mr. Grove is the lead strategist for an $850 million program for Lockheed Martin. As a Board of Advisor member, Martek looks to Mr. Grove for his experience and insight in satisfying major customers with major high-profile programs. Martek relies on his growth strategies and professional development skills for leading our staff into long lasting careers and high customer satisfaction.

Mr. Principe also serves on Martek’s Board of Advisors and provides guidance for both financial and operational strategy. Martek has relied on Mr. Principe’s experience to ensure that all corporate goals are met.
