AIA presents ADG Creative with Merit Award for Architectural Excellence for its New Headquarters; Project Led by Martek
BETHESDA, MD, January 19, 2012—Martek Global Services announced today that its customer
ADG Creative was honored by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Chesapeake
Chapter with a Merit Award for Architectural Excellence for its newly designed 28,000
sq ft headquarters in Columbia, MD. Martek oversaw the entire headquarters project,
from location identification and negotiations, architect selection and construction
management, project and move management to interior furnishings. The space, designed
by Steven Kahle Architects, includes a state-of-the-art office space and an employee
cafe, elevated conference rooms and a boulevard feel throughout common interior
pathways. The award was presented at AIA's recent CBC Design Awards dinner.

and that we were given the opportunity to develop an innovative space to reflect

The AIA award selection committee commented, "We enjoy the freedom of spirit expressed
